Meet The Band

Zero Buffalo originally formed in 1994 as a 2-piece project with Jason Champion and the late Barry LaMountain. Revived for the third time, this iteration continues to bring their unique blend of music to the public, honoring the legacy while pushing new creative boundaries.

Jason Champion

Guitar & Vocals

As a founding member, singer-songwriter, and producer, Jason Champion has been a driving force in the band's creative direction since the early 90s. His songwriting and vocal style draw deep inspiration from the alt-rock giants of that era. With influences ranging from Toad the Wet Sprocket to Dada and Alice in Chains, Jason's music embodies the soulful, gritty essence of 90s rock. His passion for music is reflected in every strum and lyric, making each performance a raw, unforgettable experience.

Warren McCallum

Bass

Warren McCallum has been the heart and soul of the bass guitar alongside Jason since 2011. As former bandmates in Autumn's Amber for an impressive 8-year run, their musical chemistry is undeniable. Warren's influences are as eclectic as they are iconic, ranging from the progressive sounds of Porcupine Tree to the classic rock of Led Zeppelin and the timeless melodies of Fleetwood Mac. His bass playing is a seamless blend of rhythm and melody, demanding attention and standing out as a key voice in the band's soundscape. Warren’s bass isn’t just the foundation—it’s a powerful, expressive force that commands to be heard.

YOU???

Drummer

That's right, we're currently looking for a new drummer.  If you like anything from '90s alt-rock, grunge, classic rock, blues-rock, and even a touch of prog-rock, you may want to give us a shot.  Influences such as Alice In Chains, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Porcupine Tree, Eagles, Crosby Stills Nash, Counting Crows, Days of the New, or hell, maybe even New Kids on the Block.  Whatever ... just hit us up if you dig our sound and feel you can contribute.
